Sacramental Preparation

Baptism: Baptismal arrangements may only be made by the parents of the child at the parish office.  Parents must be parishioners of the parish and along with godparents attend a baptismal preparation class before baptism.

Marriage: Set up an appointment with the pastor at least eight months prior to your proposed date of marriage. Please do not make any social arrangements until you have consulted with the pastor. Some couples require more time for preparation than others. Either the bride or the groom must be a  member of the parish for at least six-months prior to beginning marriage preparation. Normally, a six to eight month preparation period is required.  There are other requirements that will be discussed at the initial interview for baptisms and weddings.

Anointing and Care of the Sick:  If you are planning to have surgery or anticipate a hospital stay, please call the parish office in advance to arrange for the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. The Anointing is also available the third Thursday of the month after the daily 9 a.m. Mass. It is always best to receive the sacrament before an emergency occurs — a life and death situation.

Note: The sacraments of initiation (Baptism, First Confession, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation) and the sacrament of marriage require that recipients be parishioners.
