Casa Alitas is a program of Catholic Community Services. The program serves migrant families who have left their home countries to escape violence and poverty. Most are parents,  children, and pregnant women from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

ICE provides them with documentation and an immigration hearing date and drops the families off at Casa Alitas.  Hundreds of travelers arrive at the hospitality center every day.
Casa Alitas provides care, short-term shelter and travel assistance to help to reunite the migrants with family members in the U.S. Volunteers from this ministry provide migrants with transportation to the bus station/ airport, organize parish drives for donations of clothing, shoes and other supplies, and provide financial aid in support of the Casa Alitas program.
