We offer numerous parish ministries that reach out to serve

the needs of our community.

 

Liturgical Ministries

All persons involved in the following ministries assist the Director of Liturgy in providing a faith-filled service and environment. Training is available. Please refer to the Liturgical brochure for more information about these ministries.

 

 

Social Awareness and Justice Ministries

Guided by the seven themes of Catholic Social Teachings, this group and sub-groups acknowledge our diversity in cultures, life experiences, and individual talents. We commit ourselves to building unity in our community of faith.

 

Stephen Ministry

Specially trained members who provide emotional and spiritual support to people who are facing a difficult time. Care is provided in a confidential, one-to-one setting.

 

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

EMHC take the Eucharist to the homebound and visit the ill of the parish community. Periodic one-to-one training is provided through the parish.

 

Catalina Community Quilters

This group offers a monthly sew-in day to piece and quilt blankets for children, all ages, who are ill or experiencing difficult times. These blankets are donated to the local Project Linus Group for distribution.

 

Guadalupanos

A men and women's group, who meet every first Friday of the month in devotion to Mary, Mother of God, and to pray for those in the Parish who are sick.

 

Matachines Danzantes

Group comprised of various ages who hold a traditional devotion to the Mother of God via a "danza" on special feast days, including the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

 

Hispanic Ministry

This group shares the Catholic faith with our Hispanic community and offers sacraments in Spanish.

 

Music Ministry

This ministry supports the parish and our parish community by reaching out to those who need assistance in various ways.

 

Outreach Ministry

A group of volunteers who support the elderly of our parish by providing home visits, and/or meals, and organizing lunch & movie outings.

 

The Outreach Ministry is committed to carrying on the mercy and compassion of Jesus Christ by being his hands, heart and mind in providing for the spiritual, physical and social needs of those in our parish community.
