Youth On Their Own (YOTO) supports the high school graduation and continued success of youth experiencing homelessness in grades 6-12, who are enrolled in a public, private, charter, or alternative school in Pima County.

Students must be homeless and be without the care of a long term parent or long term guardian. One of the many services YOTO provides for over 1,500 youth, is a Mini Mall which is a place students can come to access all the basic needs items their parents would normally have provided for them, had they been able.

Basically, they can come in and “shop” for free! It’s also where students come to get guidance and support from YOTO staff and access the many services YOTO provides. The adolescents that YOTO serves have a 86% graduation rate. Since 1990, over 16,000 homeless and compromised students have been empowered to stay in school and pursue opportunities for self-sufficiency. There will be a collection for YOTO in April. Please watch the bulletin for more information.
